Former model and now crime novelist, Tara Moss, takes legal action against GP for Medical Negligence.
Tara Moss underwent eight consultations regarding hip pain between 2016 and 2017. What began as a dull pain in her right pelvis eventually escalated into serious complex regional nerve damage, resulting in her becoming wheelchair bound.

Her claim states the failure of diagnosis from her doctor, Dr Coghill, has led to her being permanently disabled.
Throughout the duration of her eight consultations, she repeatedly raised concerns over the increasing severity of her pain. However, the doctor stated that her ‘pelvic discomfort was slowly resolving’ and subsequently misdiagnosed the symptoms as being due to a ‘blighted ovum’.
Moss consulted another GP in 2018 for a second opinion, which resulted in an MRI scan. It was then revealed that she had a labral tear around her hip socket. Her claim states that as a result of the misdiagnosis, she suffers from chronic back and hip pain, damage to nerves, psychological injuries and an abnormal gait.
Such conditions are better when diagnosed as early as possible, as with such a painful illness pain medications are generally increasingly helpful the earlier they are taken.
If you are unsure whether or not your case is in fact medical negligence, make sure to seek the help and guidance of a solicitor for the best chance of a positive outcome.
